Samsung Announces LED Breakthrough that can Turn Windows into Display Screens

A new fabrication process developed by Samsung for building LED displays allows for two new exciting features. First, LED displays will be able to be scaled to as much as 400 times larger and secondly, the displays themselves are made with normal glass panels so they can double as a window.

Perusing the ESRI Mapping Center recently, the phrase "Artisan Basemap Sandwich" was introduced and it caught my attention. It was just before lunch time and the hunger pains were setting in so the word "sandwich" lured me right in. I've eaten many sandwiches in my day; but an artisan basemap sandwich? Never heard of that one. I had to learn more so I dug in.
