I love the pouring rain in late November, because in Wisconsin that means it isn't snowing. For a girl that thinks she was born in Wisconsin by accident that is a blessing. Oh I love a beautiful snow fall that makes the world look pure in a blanket of white, but only once a year - just before Christmas - would suit me just fine.

Making the Switch: Dropping Windows for Ubuntu/Linux!

Well, I did it, I made the switch from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu) on my work machine. And after six years of XP and all the applications, files, directories, etc., the switch didn't really disrupt my daily workflow as much as it seemed to enhance it and give me a "clean slate" or a fresh start. Of course before the switch, I had to do a fair amount of cleanup!
